USOC's Mary-Clare Brennan Appointed to USA Ultimate Board of Directors

Boulder, Colo. (January 4, 2013)--Mary-Clare Brennan, of the United States Olympic Committee, is appointed to the USA Ultimate Board of Directors.
The appointment of U.S, Olympic Committee veteran Mary-Clare Brennan to the USA Ultimate Board of Directors was announced today by the sport's National Governing Body. A 17-year veteran of the USOC’s Marketing Division, Brennan is currently responsible for business development efforts, including securing new sponsorship revenue and leading sales efforts for the TeamUSA digital network. During her tenure, Brennan managed the first USOC – NGB Joint Marketing Program and created the first USOC – NGB Brand Extension Program before moving into sponsorship sales prior to the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City. Prior to joining the USOC, Brennan was first a professional athletic trainer then worked in collegiate sports marketing before moving into international sports. She earned her undergraduate degree from Indiana University and her master’s from the University of Texas at Austin. Mary-Clare and her husband Jonathan Veteto are the parents of a daughter, Rowan, and reside in Manitou Springs, Colorado.
"The breadth of experience and knowledge that Mary-Clare has accumulated over the years, especially in the area of sponsorship, will bring a very unique and valuable perspective to the Board of Directors," said Mike Payne, USA Ultimate Board of Directors President. "As we begin the first year of our new strategic plan, having the perspective of high-level professionals such as Mary-Clare will help position us to achieve our mission."

The next USA Ultimate Board of Directors meeting will be held January 12-13 in Denver, CO.
