Welcome to USA Ultimate Weekly, where we'll provide you with brief, weekly updates on happenings at USA Ultimate!
May 2, 2016:
- After an awesome weekend of ultimate at regional champioships around the country, 67 teams have claimed spots at either the D-I or D-III College Championships.
Check out the results and see who has qualified so far.
- In response to North Carolina's HB2 legislation and to show support for the LGBT community, USA Ultimate partnered with Five Ultimate, Discraft, and Equality NC on several initiatives for the D-I and D-III College Championships.
Special game discs will be used for all games, and limited-edition merchandise will be available for purchase at both events, with all proceeds going to the Equality NC Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to sercuring equal rights and justice for LGBT North Carolinians.
- Voting for the 2016 Callahan Award is now open. All current college players are eligible to vote for the candidates in their gender division.
- High School State Championships were held in Georgia (girls), Indiana (boys), Missouri (girls) and North Carolina (boys and girls) over the weekend.
Among the weekend's champions was Kirkwood High School who took home the first-ever Missouri Girls' State Championship title!
- The 2016 Southeast Masters Regional Championships will take place July 9-10 at the Georgia Soccer Park outside Atlanta, Ga.
