Welcome to USA Ultimate Weekly, where we'll provide you with brief, weekly updates on happenings at USA Ultimate!
May 17, 2016:
What an eventful week of ultimate!
• At 9pm ET tonight there is a college STAR Program webinar hosted by Alyssa Weatherford and Jon Nethercutt, and will focus on offseason planning for individuals and teams during the summer months.
• The second ever beach championships took place in Virginia Beach, VA. Two teams successfully defended titles (And the Warhawks, Swamp Rats)
Congratulations to these champions:
• Men's division: And the Warhawks (Cambridge, MA)
• Mixed division: Opig (Arlington, VA)
• Women's division: Rockford Beaches (Madison, WI)
• Mixed Masters division: Swamp Rats (Oxford, NC)
• Grand Masters division: No Country (Brattleboro, VT)

• Four more High School State Champions were crowned: Fairfield Ludlowe (Connecticut boys' division), Marcus (Texas boys' division), Marcus (Texas mixed division), and Nathan Hale (Washington girls' division).
Five states will hold championships this upcoming weekend: Kentucky (boys' division), Maryland (boys' division), Oregon (boys' and girls' divisions), Utah (boys' and girls' divisions), and Virginia (boys' and girls' divisions).
• At the 2016 High School Southern Regionals Championships (#hssoutherns), HS Woodlawn won the girls' division, and Carolina Friends won their third straight boys' division title.

• At the 2016 High School Central Regional Championships (#hscentrals), Holy Family Catholic won their third girls' division title in four years, while Neuqua Valley won their first boys' division title.

• The 2016 High School Northeastern Regional Championships (#hsnortheasterns) take place in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania. Later this week, the event guide will be posted in the magazine section of the USA Ultimate app (Android / iOS).
• This weekend in Winston-Salem, North Caroina, 32 of the top small school college teams will play for a title at the D-III College Championships (#d3natties).

• In ten days, the D-I College Championships (#d1natties) head to Raleigh, North Carolina.
24 hours of live streaming is planned for this event. See where teams ended up being seeded, and fill out your brackets to have a chance to win a $150 gift card from Visit Raleigh.
• The application period is open for the College ACE Program. The program was developed to provide incentives and recognize growth and sustainability of college ultimate programs based on team development and alignment with the three Cs of our mission: Character, Community and Competition.
• The YCC U-16 Girls' Free Agent team is taking applications. There are some great testimonials posted on the Girls' Ultimate Movement (GUM) blog from girls who attended last year.
