Welcome to USA Ultimate Weekly, where we'll provide you with brief, weekly updates on happenings at USA Ultimate!
January 16, 2017:
• The tryout list for the 2017 World Games team was announced last week. 64 of the nation's best athletes will compete for the team's 20 spots.
• The 2016 U.S. Mixed National Team advanced in the International World Games Association's Athlete or Team of the Year Award voting, but they are up against some strong competition. Keep your votes coming! You can vote once per day through the end of January.
Support your national teams, and vote daily!
• The 2017 college season is officially underway. Dartmouth Princess Layout won the first regular-season event of the year - Florida Winter Classic - this weekend.
• 17 athletes were named to the team that will represent the U.S. at the World Great Grand Masters Beach Ultimate Championships this summer in Portugal.
• Get your team to the beach! Phase one applications are being accepted for Beach Westerns and the Beach Championships. Beach Westerns applications are due February 17. Beach Championships applications are due March 3.
