USA Ultimate Names Three Coaches For World Under-23 Championships

USA ULTIMATE NAMES THREE COACHES FOR WORLD UNDER-23 CHAMPIONSHIPS
USA Ultimate announced today the three coaches that will lead Team USA at the 2013 WFDF World Under-23 Championships in Toronto, Canada. Mike Whitaker (Boulder, Colo.) will serve as the head coach of the women’s squad, Martin Aguilera (Atlanta, Ga.) will coach the mixed team, and Bob Krier (Boulder, Colo.) will lead the open team.

Mike Whitaker
Head Coach, Team USA U-23 Women
Whitaker played college Ultimate for Stanford, leading the team to a national title in 2002. He went on to coach the University of Colorado women’s team for four years and has held various leadership positions for Boulder’s Johnny Bravo and several mixed teams. |

Martin Aguilera
Head Coach, Team USA U-23 Mixed
Aguilera started his playing career at Paideia High School in the early 90s before playing at Georgia Tech University and various Club-level mixed teams in Atlanta. His coaching credentials include positions with the Georgia Tech men’s team and the Emory University women’s squad during their rise to prominence on the national level. Most recently, Aguileria returned to Paideia High School as assistant coach for both the boys and girls teams. |

Bob Krier
Head Coach, Team USA U-23 Open
Krier has been coaching Ultimate for 10 years, seven as an assistant for the University of Colorado men’s team and three as the head coach of Johnny Bravo. |
TEAM USA U-23 PLAYER APPLICATIONS OPEN
USA Ultimate is excited to announce that the application for the U-23 Mixed, Open, and Women’s teams that will travel to the 2013 U-23 Ultimate Championships is now open. These teams are selected from a pool of applicants around the country and compete at an international competition held every two years held by the World Flying Disc Federation.
