USA Ultimate Hosts Inaugural Coaching Symposium

Colorado Springs, Colo. (November 4, 2016)—The inaugural USA Ultimate Coaching Symposium begins this evening in Colorado Springs as many of the sport’s top coaches in the U.S. National Team pipeline were invited to participate in a weekend of collaboration with U.S. Olympic Committee, NGB and USA Ultimate staff.

Coaches attending include Martin Aguilera, DeAnna Ball, Alex Ghesquiere, Jake Henderson, Bob Krier, Andy Lovseth, Carolyn Matthews, Jamie Nuwer, Alex Snyder, Chase Sparling-Beckley, Nancy Sun, Matty Tsang, Ben Van Heuvelen, Alyssa Weatherford and Mike Whitaker.

Throughout the weekend, U.S. National Team coaches and staff will participate in a series of interactive team building exercises, presentations, discussions and social events. Activities will occur at the U.S. Olympic Training Center and USA Ultimate’s national headquarters.

Among the speakers presenting at the symposium are Frank Busch, USA Swimming National Team Director; Carol Callan, USA Basketball Women’s National Team Director; Susie Parker-Simmons, U.S. Olympic Team Dietitian and Physiologist; Kelly Skinner, USOC Managing Director of Sport Performance; and Amanda Wittenmyer, U.S. Olympic Team Strength & Conditioning Physiologist.
