Boulder, Colo. (September 22, 2014) – USA Ultimate Chief Executive Officer Dr. Tom Crawford will be a guest speaker at the 2014 U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Assembly, Sept. 25-26 in Chicago.

As head of the USOC’s newest member and the national governing body for the sport of ultimate in the United States, Dr. Crawford will lead a presentation and discussion about the sport of ultimate during the Multi-Sport Organization Council session.

The U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Assembly is an annual meeting of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic family that gives a voice to the various member organizations of the USOC, including USA Ultimate which officially became a member earlier this year. The multi-day event is designed to maintain dialogue between the member organizations and their leadership and staff. The program typically includes town hall meetings, joint sessions of USOC constituent councils, panel discussions and a general address from the USOC’s CEO and chairman.

Dr. Crawford’s presentation to other USOC member organizations – including YMCA of the USA, Boys and Girls Clubs of America, National Congress of State Games, National Recreation and Park Association, Special Olympics, Wheelchair and Ambulatory Sports USA, National Federation of State High School Associations, the NCAA and many more – provides USA Ultimate with an unprecedented opportunity to connect with and educate executive decision-makers and sport and activity programming directors, particularly in the youth sector, about ultimate.
