USA Ultimate Announces Dates and Location of 2020 Masters Championships

Colorado Springs, Colo. (Sept. 5, 2019) – USA Ultimate, the national governing body for the sport of ultimate in the United States and member of the U.S. Olympic Committee, announced today the dates and location of the 2020 Masters Championships.

For a second consecutive year, the Masters Championships will be held at the Aurora Sports Park in Aurora, Colo., just outside of Denver. The event will take place July 17-19, 2020, and will again be hosted by Altitude Youth Ultimate, Colorado Ultimate and Visit Aurora. 2020 will mark the fourth time in five years that Altitude Youth Ultimate and Aurora, Colo., host the Masters Championships.

"We're excited to have the USA Ultimate Masters Championships return to Aurora, Colo., for the second straight year," said Jimmy Donnellon, Altitude Youth Ultimate’s director of operations. "We enjoyed hosting this championship event with some of the best players in the world in 2019 and look forward to another amazing tournament at the Aurora Sports Park in 2020!"

The 2020 Masters Championships will play host to teams in seven divisions: men’s masters, mixed masters, women’s masters, men’s grand masters, women’s grand masters and men’s great grand masters. With its extensive competition opportunities, the event is USA Ultimate’s second largest annual championship event. The 2019 Masters Championships hosted 89 teams and more than 2,000 athletes.
