USA Ultimate Announces Dates and Location of 2017 Masters Championships

Colorado Springs, Colo. (Dec. 2, 2016) – USA Ultimate, the national governing body for the sport of ultimate in the United States and proud member of the U.S. Olympic Committee, announced today the dates and location of the 2017 Masters Championships.

The Masters Championships will return to Aurora Sports Park in Aurora, Colo., for a third consecutive year and will take place July 21-23, 2017. The event will again be hosted by Altitude Youth Ultimate and Visit Aurora. Teams will compete for national titles and the right to represent the U.S. at the 2018 World Flying Disc Federation's World Ultimate Club Championships.

"We are excited to once again host the USA Ultimate Masters Championships here in Aurora, Colorado," said Jeff Berget, events manager for Altitude Youth Ultimate. "We had a blast hosting all of the nationals teams here last year. We have hosted a number of successful USA Ultimate events at the Aurora Sports Park, and we are looking forward to hosting this championship event and welcoming some of the best players in the world to Aurora and the State of Colorado!"

The 2017 Masters Championships will mark the fourth time the event has been held in the Denver, Colo., area in five years. The first-ever combined Masters Championships, which included all three masters divisions, was held at Dicks Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colo. in 2013. The first Masters Championships were held in 1991 in Sanford, Fla.
