USA ULTIMATE ANNOUNCES 17-GAME BROADCAST SCHEDULE FOR U.S. OPEN
7 Men’s, 7 Women’s, 3 Mixed Games Set for First Major Triple Crown Tour Event of 2015
Colorado Springs, Colo. (June 30 2015)—As the 2015 Triple Crown Tour enters its fifth week, the season’s first major event, the U.S. Open, takes place this weekend, July 2-5, and features a 17-game broadcast schedule.
In partnership with ESPN and Ultiworld, USA Ultimate is proud to offer the opportunity for fans to watch some of the world’s best ultimate teams battle it out for the first leg of the Triple Crown. The broadcast schedule will feature seven games from the men’s division, seven from the women’s and three from the mixed.
Pool play highlights the tournament’s first two days of competition and will be carried exclusively by Ultiworld and available for free on its YouTube channel.
Single-elimination bracket play begins Saturday with semifinal action and concludes Sunday with three championship games. ESPN will offer semifinal and championship games for free on ESPN3.com and its WatchESPN app.
Ultiworld will also carry additional semifinal matches, which along with archived content from the U.S. Open and other 2015 Triple Crown Tour events, will be available to subscribers. For more information on subscription packages, visit Ultiworld’s subscription page.
