United States’ club teams left Prague and the 2010 World Club Championships last weekend with lots of hardware, capturing a total of eight medals across four divisions, including a gold-medal sweep of all four categories.

In the Open division, Revolver beat compatriots Sockeye, 17-13, giving the U.S the top-two spots in the podium, while Chain Lightning was unable to turn around a hard loss in the semifinals to finish fourth overall.

In the Women’s division, Fury survived a tough match against Japan’s UNO to claim the gold medal. The two teams traded points throughout the match until Cree Howard finally came up with the game winner for Fury, giving them a 16-15 victory. Meanwhile, Riot added to the U.S. medal count, besting Brute squad for the bronze.

As in the Women’s division, U.S. teams came away with gold and bronze in the Mixed category. Two American teams – Mental Toss Flycoons and Quiet Coyote – squared off for the bronze medal with the Flycoons earning the victory. In the gold-medal final, Chad Larson Experience, led by Kevin Seiler and Kurt Brorsen, was on the board often, beating the Canadian Team Onyx 17-10.

Earlier in the weekend, Troubled Past earned the gold medal in the Masters division over Surly to give U.S. squads another 1-2 finish.
