USA Ultimate

Boulder, Colo. (August 28, 2014)--USA Ultimate is now accepting applications for the 2015 elected and appointed positions for the USA Ultimate Board of Directors.

Ultimate has seen rapid growth and has been experiencing incredible milestones. As our organization and sport grow, we need board members with the right perspectives and expertise to make smart decisions.

We are accepting applications for members to run in the At-large and Elite Athlete election, which will be held from October 3-17. The application window for the At-large and Elite Athlete election closes at 5:00 p.m. MDT on September 19. Please send a letter of intent with the following information by the deadline to nom_comm@usaultimate.org: 

• Full Name
• USA Ultimate Member number
• Contact Info (address, phone number, email address)
• Occupation/relevant experience
• Why would you like to run for a seat on USA Ultimate’s Board of Directors?
• Which position are you applying for?
   

At-large and Elite Athlete candidates must create a candidate statement, submit a photo and be available for a video interview by September 22. These items will be made public for members in preparation for voting which will take place from October 3-17.

We are also accepting applications for Independent candidates. The application window for Appointed and Independent candidates will close at 5pm MT on October 3. To apply for this position please send an email to nom_comm@usaultimate.org with the following information.

• Full Name
• USA Ultimate Member number (if applicable)
• Contact Info (address, phone number, email address)
• Occupation/relevant experience
• How are you affiliated or involved with the sport of Ultimate (if applicable)? 
• Which position are you applying for?
• Two References, including contact information (phone or email)
• Candidates must be available for a phone interview before October 9, 2014. Candidates that fill the following representation gaps will receive additional consideration: 
  • Legal
  • Fundraising
  • Non-ultimate sports association
  • Public relations
  • Marketing
  • Non-profit boards
  • Policy writing
