Preliminary Results of the 2018 USA Ultimate Board of Directors Election

Colorado Springs, Colo. (Nov. 9, 2018) - USA Ultimate announced today preliminary and unofficial results of the USA Ultimate Board of Directors election after polls closed at 2:00 p.m. MT Friday.
This year, there were two seats up for election – one at-large and one elite athlete.
In the at-large election, Frank Nam received the most votes, collecting 1,269. All totaled, 1,917 people voted from an eligible pool of 56,461 USA Ultimate members.
Charlie Mercer received 349 votes, the most in the elite-athlete election. A total of 652 elite athletes from a pool of 2,036 eligble members cast votes.
Pending verification of results and voter eligibility, Nam will replace outgoing at-large member Henry Thorne, and Mercer will replace Dave Klink. Terms for newly elected board members will commence on Jan. 1, 2019, and expire on Dec. 31, 2021.
