The 2011 College Boundaries, Coordinator Structure, Conference Assignments, and Season Guidelines are now complete, finalized, and available on the USA Ultimate website. Online registration for the 2011 College Series will be open by December 15th.

"As we discussed on the Ultimate Nation #5, regional boundaries and conference assignments were one of the last items that needed careful examination. After reviewing input from the feedback survey about the initial boundaries, we made some adjustments that we believe will provide better opportunities for play and overall growth in the affected regions," said Will Deaver, Managing Director for Competition and Athlete Programs. "As a part of the USA Ultimate strategic plan, restructuring the College Division was one of the key tactics we needed to address. These changes represent the final pieces of that process. The end result is a competition structure that will provide more accessible and more meaningful playing opportunities for college teams throughout the country, and one that can be scaled to handle the exciting growth we expect to see continue in the USA Ultimate College Division."

The new coordinator structure includes the creation of a National Women's College Director position as well as divisional specific conference coordinators (D-I, D-III, Developmental). In areas in which there are Regional tournaments for both gender divisions at that level, there will be separate conference coordinator positions by gender for that division. The complete breakdown of the positions and vacancies is available here on the USA Ultimate website, and the job descriptions for these positions will soon be available on the Get Involved page.

As a result of the boundary changes, the team conference assignments have been updated. We have also extended the deadlines for teams applying for assignment exceptions until December 15th. More information is available in the College Season Guidelines.

Thanks to everyone who has been involved in the college restructure planning process, including members of the College Restructure Task Force, the College Restructure Planning Committee (Gwen Ambler, Lucy Barnes, Matthew Bourland, Will Deaver, Jeff Kula, Jonathan Neeley, Adam Tarr, Kyle Weisbrod), and all the players and members of the community who provided their feedback. We are excited about the changes and the upcoming College Season. Best of luck to all the competing teams!
