USA Ultimate Announces Location of 2016 High School Western Championships

Colorado Springs, Colo. (Oct. 26, 2015) – USA Ultimate, the national governing body for the sport of ultimate in the United States, announced today that Corvallis, Ore., will host next year’s High School Western Championships on June 4-5, 2016.

2016 will mark the fourth consecutive year that the High School Western Championships will return to Corvallis and the Crystal Lake Sports Fields. Westerns will once again be hosted by Corvallis Ultimate

"Corvallis Ultimate looks forward to partnering with USAU to host Westerns 2016!" said Corvallis Ultimate President Dana Loso. "It'll be a fabulous weekend of rigorous play and spirited camaraderie on the ultimate fields by the Willamette River in Corvallis, Oregon. See you out there!"

Youth members continue to be the fastest-growing member group at USA Ultimate, topping 13,000 in 2015. The 2015 High School Western Championships included 28 teams that competed across the boys' and girls' divisions. Roosevelt High School (Seattle) and Lakeside High School (Seattle) are the defending champions in the boys' and girls' divisions, respectively, after earning titles at the 2015 Western Championships.
