Colorado Springs, Colo. (July 1, 2020) - After an amazing collaboration with Without Limits and USA Ultimate’s Girls’ Ultimate Movement (GUM), we are excited to announce the release of the High School Girls’ Ultimate Resources Manual.
Spearheaded by Michelle Ng and Kyra Cataby of Without Limits and Girls’ National Outreach Director Gail Reich, along with contributions and editorial support from Sarah Powers and Stacey Waldrup at USA Ultimate, this FREE manual features articles and resources from some of the most knowledgeable individuals in ultimate and some of the biggest advocates and allies of GUM.
"Collaborating on this manual with Michelle, Without Limits and all of the authors was truly a fun and exciting experience," commented Reich. "We hope it inspires people, encourages conversation and brings people together."
These articles and resources featured in the manual fall under one of the following seven themes:
The manual features a diverse array of voices, including USA Ultimate President Robyn Fennig, Community Liaison Volunteer Kellan Gibboney, Live Ultimate Ambassador Anraya Palmer, National Team and Molly Brown captain Claire Chastain, and Jenna Weiner, one of the leading activists for the inclusion of transgender athletes in ultimate.
"The emotions that came with looking around at everyone in that circle, I got a sense of belonging. When you feel represented, you feel like you belong. The emotions are raw. We finally had a safe space to open up." - excerpt from Representation and Equity by Anraya Palmer.
