Fourth Annual USA Ultimate Beach Championships Return To Virginia Beach

FOURTH ANNUAL USA ULTIMATE BEACH CHAMPIONSHIPS RETURN TO VIRGINIA BEACH/BEACH WESTERNS RETURN TO SANTA MONICA
Colorado Springs, Colo. (January 17, 2018) – The fourth annual USA Ultimate Beach Championships will return to Virginia Beach in 2018, USA Ultimate announced today.
Scheduled for May 19-20, the event will again be co-hosted by the Virginia Beach Convention and Visitors Bureau and Resort Management, Inc.
"Virginia Beach is proud to welcome back the athletes, coaches, fans and supporters of USA Ultimate," commented Nancy Helman, director of sports marketing at the Virginia Beach CVB. "Each year we strive to refine and build on the previous year’s successes to ensure the best possible championship experience. We look forward to showcasing our beautiful Virginia Beach Boardwalk and the Atlantic Ocean to set the stage for a memorable weekend! The entire Virginia Beach hospitality community thanks everyone involved in selecting Virginia Beach as the host of this event."
Application deadline is March 2. Teams can apply online until that date.
In 2017, 64 teams competed in five divisions – men’s, mixed, women’s, mixed masters and men’s grand masters.
Virginia Beach has hosted the event every year since its inception in 2015.
Beach Westerns returns to Santa Monica, CA on April 7-8. California Ultimate will host this year’s tournament. The application deadline for this event is February 16. Teams can apply online until that date.
