Dates and Locations Announced for 2015 Southern and Western Championships

Boulder, Colo. (June 27, 2014) – USA Ultimate, the national governing body for the sport of ultimate in the United States, announced today the dates and locations of the 2015 High School Southern and Western Regional Championships. Winston-Salem, N.C., will host the 2015 Southern Championships, and Corvallis, Ore., will host the 2015 Western Championships.

After a great year in South Carolina, the 2015 Southern Regional Championships will return to North Carolina and take place at BB&T Soccer Park in Winston-Salem on May 9-10. Southerns will be hosted by Triad Area Ultimate and Visit Winston-Salem.

"Winston-Salem is pleased to learn that we will be the host location for the 2015 High School Southern Championships," said Visit Winston-Salem President Richard Geiger. "We’ve most recently hosted the North Carolina Ultimate High School Championships and look forward to adding the Southern Region Championships to our growing list of ultimate events in Winston-Salem. We believe that the competitors, their fans and the USA Ultimate staff will have a first-class experience at BB&T Soccer Park and will enjoy all our destination has to offer during their time here."

"Triad Area Ultimate is excited to be a part of the High School Southern Championships," added Triad Area Ultimate’s Emily Bratton. "One of the core goals of our ultimate community is to foster and grow the youth ultimate movement, and what better way to do so than to host this tournament."
 
The Western Regional Championships will return to the Crystal Lake Sports Fields in Corvallis, Ore., for a third consecutive year in 2015. The event will be held May 30-31, and will again be hosted by Corvallis Ultimate.

"Corvallis Ultimate and the Corvallis ultimate community welcomes the Western Regional Championships back to Corvallis," said Corvallis Ultimate President Dana Loso. "Planning is underway for another memorable tournament. See you in May 2015!"
