Applications Open for 2017 Youth Club Regional Championships

Colorado Springs, Colo. (Aug. 10, 2017) – Applications are currently being accepted for the 2017 Youth Club Regional Championships. Four events will be held in October and November with the goal of providing more non-high-school based, regional-level playing opportunities for youth ultimate players around the country.
Applications are due August 18.
Event Schedule:

Northeasterns – Oct. 7-8, Erie, Penn.

Centrals – Nov. 4-5, Ames, Iowa

Westerns – Nov. 4-5, Spokane, Wash.

Southerns – Nov. 11-12, Chattanooga, Tenn.
These club events replace the high-school-based regional events that were held from 2012-2016. The same regional boundaries that have been in place for the past five years were used to determine locations for this year’s events, and the event names still reflect those regions, but the boundaries will not limit teams to a specific event. Teams may choose to apply to compete at any of the four events and may be able to compete at multiple events.
In the first year of these new club regional events, applications will be accepted in U-20, U-17 and U-15 age divisions and in three competition divisions: boys, girls and mixed. Bids will be awarded by August 25.
