Applications now accepted for 2011 beach worlds

USA Ultimate is now taking
applications for players interested in representing the United States at the
2011 World Championships of Beach Ultimate. The event will be held in Lignano Sabbiadoro, about 1.5 hours north of Venice, Italy, on August 22-28, 2011. USA Ultimate is planning to send teams in 6 divisions including Mixed, Open, Women’s, Masters Mixed (33 years), Masters Open (33 years), and Grandmasters Open (40 years).
Selection criteria for the players representing the U.S. will encompass a variety of factors including skill, experience, spirit, ambassadorship, reliability, geographical representation, team chemistry, historical participation and past contributions to the sport.
The application period will be open through January 31, 2011. The application fee of $25 will be waived for all applications received prior to December 31, 2010. All applicants must be current USA Ultimate members in order to be considered.
