Applications for 2015 U-23 National Teams Now Open

Boulder, Colo. (August 1, 2014) – USA Ultimate is excited to announce that applications are now open for the national teams that will travel to the World Flying Disc Federation's 2015 World Under 23 Ultimate Championships. Teams will be selected from applicants around the country to represent the United States in the mixed, open and women's divisions at next summer's event. Head coaches for each team will be announced later this month.
Information about the process and eligibility can be found in the application. Deadline for receipt of the application and recommendations is September 14, 2014. Tryout camps for invited applicants will be held in mid-November with final rosters to be announced in mid-December. The World Flying Disc Federation first hosted the Under 23 Ultimate Championships in 2010. The United States began participating at the last event, held in Toronto, Ontario, in July 2013. The three U.S. National Teams went undefeated and brought home gold medals in each division. The Mixed National Team also earned their division's spirt award, brining the total number of medals claimed in Toronto to four.
