Application Period for 2012 USA Ultimate Regional HS Championships, YCC Now Open

Boulder, Colo. (January 27, 2012)—USA Ultimate announced today that the application period for the 2012 USA Ultimate Regional High School Championships and Youth Club Championships is now open.
High School Regional Championships are premier USA Ultimate high school events, where each season the best teams from around the country gather to crown a champion. This year there will now be four regional championships, promoting both high quality competition and accessibility. The Southern and Central Championships
have been announced, with the Central Championships scheduled for May 12-13 in Naperville, Ill., while the Southern Championships are set for the following weekend, May 19-20 in Chattanooga, Tenn. The Western and Northeastern Championships will be announced in the upcoming weeks, but applications for all four are available and due by
Friday, March 23.

Following these spring events, USA Ultimate will again host its eighth-annual Youth Club Championships, August 11-12 at the National Sports Center in Blaine, Minn. Following on the great success of 2011, USA Ultimate will host U-19 Girls, U-19 Mixed, U-19 Open, and U-16 Open divisions. The possibility of a 2012 U-16 Girls or Mixed division is being explored with feedback from local organizers.
The first phase of the application period to participate in the 2011 Youth Club Championships runs through Friday, March 2.
