64 athletes named to World Championships of Beach Ultimate team

Boulder, Colo. (April 4, 2011)--USA Ultimate announced today the athletes who will represent the United States at the 2011 WFDF World Championships of Beach Ultimate in the Open, Women’s, Mixed and Masters divisions. Sixty-four athletes were so far named to Team USA for the late-summer tournament that will take place in Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy from August 22-28.
The teams were selected based on a variety of factors, including skill level, competitive experience, spirit, ambassadorship, reliability, geographical representation, team chemistry, historical participation and past contributions to the sport of Ultimate.
Participation in the Mixed Masters and Grand Masters divisions will be announced in the coming weeks.
