Colorado Springs, Colo. (April 16, 2019)– USA Ultimate, the national governing body for the spot of ultimate in the United States, is excited to announce the spring 2019 Season Training and Recruitment (STAR) webinars for college athletes. This season’s training events will be led by Mitch Dengler and Zara Cadoux and are FREE for college ultimate players.
On Tuesday, April 23, from 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET, National Observer Director Mitch Dengler will lead a webinar on the basics of playing with observers. For many ultimate athletes, college regional championship events are their first experience with observed ultimate. Dengler will provide an introduction on what to expect in an observed game and answer participants’ questions.
On Tuesday, May 7, from 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET, Zara Cadoux of Cadoux Consulting will present a webinar entitled "Debriefing Your Season with an Equity Lens." Many college teams are looking to set internal diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) goals. How can your team engage in debriefing the 2018-2019 season through an equity-lens? Join Zara Cadoux, co-founder of the Girls’ Ultimate Movement, to learn more about structuring and guiding post-season debriefing and reflection with an eye towards creating DEI goals for next season. Cadoux will present different debrief methods, equity concepts to take into consideration, and how to pose questions that will inform your team’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts moving forward.
Both webinars are FREE and are open to all college ultimate players.
