2018 College Championships Return to Milwaukee, Rockford

Colorado Springs, Colo. (Feb. 6, 2017) – USA Ultimate, the national governing body for the sport of ultimate in the United States and proud member of the U.S. Olympic Committee, is pleased to announce the dates and locations of the 2018 Division I and Division III College Championships. 

The 2018 Division I College Championships will be held at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee, Wis., May 25-28. The Milwaukee Ultimate Club (MUC) and Visit Milwaukee will serve as the local organizing committee. The group also served as the LOC for the 2015 D-I College Championships which were held at the same site.

"The Milwaukee Ultimate Club is proud to be the LOC for the 2018 USA Ultimate D-I College Championships," said Tournament Director Scott Severson. "After partnering on the 2012 and 2013 D-III Championships as well as the 2015 D-I Championships, we are ready to hit the ground running. The management and membership of the MUC and the staffs at Uihlein Soccer Park and Visit Milwaukee are all excited to get started. We look forward to providing a top-notch ultimate experience for all players, spectators and volunteers, as well as that famous Milwaukee gemütlichkeit."

"VISIT Milwaukee is proud to partner with the Milwaukee Ultimate Club and the Milwaukee Kickers Soccer Club to bring the USA Ultimate College Championships back to Milwaukee in 2018," said Marissa Werner, sports and entertainment manager at VISIT Milwaukee. "The 2015 Championships were a huge success for Milwaukee and our partners. We look forward to creating an even better athlete experience in 2018."

The 2018 Division III College Championships will be held at Sportscore Two in Rockford, Ill., May 19-20, with the Rockford Area Convention and Visitors Bureau and Ultimate Chicago serving as the local organizing committee. Like the LOC for the D-I Championships, it is an experienced group, having organized the 2015 D-III College Championships and the 2016 National Championships.

"The 2015 D-III College Championships and 2016 Club Championships were successful thanks in large part to an LOC that included Gail Reich of Ultimate Chicago and the operations team at Mercyhealth Sportscore Two in Loves Park, Ill. Ultimate is the perfect fit for Rockford. We’re happy to continue our support of such an exciting championship sport."

Meanwhile, the 2017 college season is underway, with more than 800 teams on the journey to the Postseason Championship Series. The 2017 Division III College Championships will be held May 20-21, in Lexington, Ky. The Division I College Championships are set for May 26-29, in Mason, Ohio.
