2015 USA Ultimate College Championships Headed to Milwaukee

Boulder, Colo. (May 28, 2014) – USA Ultimate, the national governing body for the sport of ultimate in the United States, announced today that the 2015 Division I College Championships will take place in Milwaukee, Wis., May 22-25.

The event will be held Friday through Monday at Uihlein Soccer Park and will be hosted by the Milwaukee Ultimate Club (MUC) and Visit Milwaukee. All games will take place at Uihlein Soccer Park, with the semifinal and final rounds making use of the on-site stadium.

"The Milwaukee Ultimate Club is proud to announce that we will be hosting the 2015 USA Ultimate Division 1 College Championships," said tournament director and Vice President of Milwaukee Ultimate Club Scott Severson. "During the course of our 25+ years, the MUC has hosted the 2012 and 2013 Division III Championships as well as several regional and sectional tournaments, 25 Cooler Classics and many other events. We are excited about the challenges and opportunities that D-I provides and will leverage our long tournament history to maximize the player and spectator experience. We look forward to working with USA Ultimate, Visit Milwaukee and the good folks at Uihlein Soccer Park to put on the best possible D-I Championship."

Each year, the College Championships crown national champions in the men’s and women’s divisions. More than 700 teams comprised of more than 14,000 athletes will compete in the college regular season and USA Ultimate Championships series, with eyes on one of 40 spots at the 2015 College Championships over Memorial Day weekend.

Previously, the Milwaukee Ultimate Club hosted the 2012 and 2013 Division III College Championships. The 2013 D-III Championships were also held at Uihlein Soccer Park.
