USA Ultimate Announces Location of 2014 High School Northeastern Championships
Boulder, Colo. (Sept. 13, 2013) – USA Ultimate, the national governing body for the sport of ultimate in the United States, announced today the date and location of the 2014 High School Northeastern Championships.
After two great years in Devens, Mass., the 2014 High School Northeastern Regional Championships will take place at the Wainwright Recreation Complex in Portland, Maine on May 10-11. Northeasterns will be hosted by Maine Ultimate, the Maine Sports Commission and the Portland Convention and Visitors Bureau.
"Maine Ultimate is thrilled and honored to be selected as the host of the 2014 Northeasterns," said Rich Young, President of Maine Ultimate and the event’s tournament director. "The growth of youth ultimate in Maine has been tremendous in the past five years, and we see this as another step towards future growth and promoting ultimate to an ever-wider audience. We look forward to putting on a first-class event and welcoming the best youth teams from our region to Maine."
