First instituted in 2011, the HS All-State awards are a way for individual players to be honored by their peers. Coaches should embody USA Ultimate's Spirit of Coaching while instilling respect, fostering a love of the game, and developing both team and individual players. As was done for the 2011 All-State and COTY Awards, there are separate nomination and voting processes resulting in an All-State team and Coach of the Year for each region.

Nominations for All-State and Coach of the Year awards will remain open through the Wednesday after the state championship. Team organizers will receive an invite to the nomination process and are welcome to nominate players and coaches from any team in the state. If your team organizer didn't receive an email about how to nominate, have them contact youthawards@usaultimate.org.  

Voting will open shortly after the close of nominations. Each team is allowed one ballot for voting. Instructions on the voting process will be included with the ballot.
