First instituted in 2009, the Coach of the Year awards are a way for individual college coaches to be honored by their peers. Coaches should embody USA Ultimate's Spirit of Coaching while instilling respect, fostering a love of the game, and developing both team and individual players. As was done for the 2011 COTY Awards, there are separate nomination and voting processes resulting in a single COTY for each region.
Although the nominations period is closed, write-in candidates are allowed as part of the voting process. Voting has been extended until 11:59pm MT Mon May 21st. Results will be compiled and posted prior to the start of the D-I College Championships. Each team is allowed one ballot for voting. If your team organizer didn't receive an email about how to vote, have them contact collegeawards@usaultimate.org.
