2011-12 Coaching Development Program Workshops

Prepare for the upcoming high school and college seasons with the Coaching Development Program. USA Ultimate is accepting applications from local organizers for workshops to be hosted in 2011 and 2012.
The workshops are a great way to provide a foundation for coaches and others who are interested in teaching Ultimate, as well as to offer a forum for both experienced and new coaches to discuss issues important to the sport and to the coaching role. Tom Cook of PADA (Philadelphia Disc Alliance) explains their yearly clinics as stemming from “a desire to enhance the visibility and professionalism of youth coaches. PADA believes that to maintain sustainable growth in the youth division, coaches must play a vital role. Having certified coaches increases our reputation as a legitimate high school sports organization.”
