The UPA is excited to announce the Team USA tryout roster for the 2009 World Games. 85 male and 51 female applicants were considered for selection to the tryout camps, which will take place on the weekends of February 21-22 and February 28-March 1. From the total pool of applicants, 80 were chosen to attend the tryout camps.

Following is the complete list of selected tryouts. All applicants have been notified via email of their status. Selected applicants will receive additional details about the tryout camps, including exact dates and locations and a list of which players will be attending each camp. Those details will be posted here when they are confirmed.

The Selection Committee considered many factors in making the tryout camp selections including experience, athletic ability, physical and mental fortitude. High priority was also placed on ambassadorial qualities and demonstrated respect for Spirit of the Game.

A Mixed team of 20 individuals will be chosen from the tryout camps to form Team USA. From those 20, a final roster of 13 will be selected to represent the United States at the 2009 World Games. The gender ratio of the team will be dependent on the finalized competition rules for the event. Those details will be posted here when they are confirmed.
